First Area, Division 1, is part of District 13 of the United States Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary. It has a dues paying membership of over 130 dedicated auxiliarists in three flotillas. Our area of responsibility spans Edmonds, Everett and Bellingham, and encompasses the San Juan Islands. Our mission is to assist the U.S. Coast Guard in promoting boating safety, boating education, environmental protection and national security. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary support missions include marine safety, search and rescue patrols, administrative support, public education and vessel safety checks. And we support our members through the Fourth Cornerstone: fellowship, found in new and lasting friendships, gatherings and mutual support of family. All are welcome!
